As you make your way up in the Magic Guild, you will have the opportunity to contribute to its creation. You will also have a voice in helping to determine the future and direction in the Guild. The more you move up and the more involved you become with the Guild, the more of a voice you will have.
Everyone in the Guild has a voice. At the lowest levels you will be able to vote on general issues put forth by the High Council. At the highest levels, you will be able craft meaningful decisions about the nature and direction of the Guild itself.
Every member in the Guild will have an opportunity to vote on matters once they become a full member. These will generally be issues decided upon by the High Council and put to the general assembly for a vote. An example might be something like, "Should the Guild form an alliance with one of the gangs and allow them to enchant their weapons while sharing the profits with us?"
The High Council is comprised of members who are more involved in determining the direction of the Guild. Each member gets a vote which determines if an initiative passes or fails. Since there are only a few members on the High Council, a quorum is required to pass an initiative. An example of a vote might be like the one above, and these can be either directly implemented or put to a general vote.
Whereas a general Guild member can vote or not vote, the High Council requires members who are more active and who show up for votes. (This is especially necessary for the quorum) As such, a rule needs to be in place for inactive members.
Obviously the Council needs active participation, so we will incentivize participation through a token that offers profit sharing. If someone on the High Council just drops out of existence, their seat will be kept for ___ weeks. After that a vote will take place to revoke their seat.
If a member of the High Council is inactive with no communication for ___ weeks, a vote will be initiated to remove them. There should be a quorum of ___ votes necessary to remove the council member.
If a High Council member commits an egregious act (ex. Stealing, embezzling) the other members can vote to remove them from their council seat.
Guild members who have contributed x amount of time, money or ideas get to vote each month etc. Some members can earn extra voting tokens by completing extra work.
There are many opportunities in the Magic Guild to form teams and find things and people who inspire you. At any level, you can form a team which can propose new ideas for quests, the Guild, weapons, and gameplay.
One example would be each school of magic. Let's say you are drawn toward Conjuration magic, but you have ideas for how to improve it in the game. You could meet with the head of the School of Conjuration and other like-minded members and create new ideas for the game.
